Best Budget Motherboards

Best Budget Motherboards

There are a couple of motherboards available in the market which are good for gaming. But to select the best budget one from them which is actually good for your uses, it is pretty confusing. No worries, till your gamer friend Jyotirmoy is here, you don’t have to think about it. So, here I am with some great budget motherboards.

Now, I have divided these motherboards into categories like Intel, AMD because you can’t use the same motherboards with both. Also, intel CPUs need different motherboards for the 9th and 10th gen. CPUs. So, keep that in mind.

Best Intel Budget Motherboards:

Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X:

cheap, for 8th, 9th gen Intel CPUs

If you want to use Intel’s 8th and 9th gen. CPUs, this is the best budget motherboard I suggest for you. I know you might be thinking about how a $140 motherboard can be a budget board, right?

But, as it is using Intel’s 8th and 9th gen. CPUs so to overclock them I think this board is a perfect one. Also, gaming in this motherboard is quite well considering its price.

As there are motherboards available up to $1500, and average motherboards cost $200-$300, so it is safe to say that this is a good budget motherboard.

Talking about its features, it is a Z390 chipset motherboard with 4 DIMMs of DDR4 RAM. The maximum memory speed of it is 4400 MHz, so keep that in mind while buying RAMs.

It uses a 12+2 phase power design and also supports smart fan 5 which is quite good. This is basically an ATX form factor motherboard, which is common, and usually good RGB ATX cases are also coming in the budget.

Talking about the storage options, you get two M.2 SSD options and up to 6 SATA ports. For RGB lovers, yes it supports RGB lighting, so don’t worry.

In  Gigabyte gaming X, 2nd gen. USB 3.1 type-A is available along with 1st gen. USB 3.1 Type-C headers.

So, I think this is the best budget motherboard but only for intel 8th and 9th gen. CPUs. For AMD CPUs check the below motherboards.

Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wi-Fi:

good gaming performance, for 8th, 9th gen Intel CPUs

This another motherboard for Intel 8th and 9th gen. CPUs. If you are thinking why I am giving motherboards for only Intel’s 8th, 9th generations, not the older ones, this is because now I don’t recommend buying Intel’s old-gen CPUs.

Because they are not good for the long run and tasks like gaming, editing, etc. Also, you can easily get better performance of you to spend the same amount in the latest generation CPUs like 8, 9, 10th rather the old gen. CPUs.

Talking about this motherboard, it comes with 4 DIMMs of DDR4 RAM. This is also an ATX form factor motherboard. If you want a piece of art under $200, this one I highly recommend for you.

The RGB lighting of this board makes it another level product. It uses 12+1 phase power design and contains features like smart fan 5, dual M.2 thermal guards.

As included in the name, this motherboard has inbuilt wifi that speeds up to 1.73Gb/s (Gigabit) = 0.216GB/s (Gigabyte). I know it is not that great, but not that bad too. I mean you have to use a high-speed router or ethernet in your PC for data consuming tasks like download games or such big files.

Otherwise, 216MB/s is also not a bad option for general users.

It contains dual NVMe M.2 SSD slots with SATA slots. You also get features like the 1st gen. USB 3.1 Type-C port in the front panel.

For overclocking, I noticed that this board consumes a bit more power than usual but overall overclocking in this motherboard is also pretty good.

Now, for Intel 10th gen. CPUs, you need a Z490 chipset motherboard. But, these Z490 motherboards are a bit costly. And if you are buying 10th gen. CPUs, I am hoping $240 is not that big deal for you.

It comes with 4 DIMMs of DDR4 RAM speeds up to 4800MHz, 128GB maximum. Wifi awesome features like wifi 6, core boost, DDR4 Boost, this motherboard is perfect for high-end users. If you want to install multiple GPU, simple Nvidia SLI, or AMD crossFire this motherboard supports that too.

This gigabyte motherboard supports AMD’s 2nd and 1st. gen. Ryzen CPUs and has 4 DIMMs of DDR4 RAM. You get both HDMI and VGA ports with it, so make sure to read this post to know which is better:

It has dual NVMe m.2 SSD ports and one of them with the thermal guard. However, you can also connect other storage options like SATA SSD, HDD, etc.

This is basically an ATX form factor motherboard. Features like smart fan 5, RGB fusion, yes it supports RGB, integrated I/O shield makes it a good budget option.

Just around $110, I think it is a pretty good deal for 2nd gen. AMD CPUs.

The thing is as it doesn’t support 3rd gen. AMD CPUs, it is not that future proof. If you wanna upgrade your CPU later on, you have to upgrade the motherboard too. That’s why if you like changing your PC hardware constantly, this is not a good option for you.

Otherwise, for those, who just need a good PC in the budget, this is perfect for them.
